LIVELY, FUN, REFLECTIVE, PHSE, CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOPS - OWN IDENTITY, TRANSITION, MOVING ON AND CHOICES
Inspirational, enriching, informative, reflective poetry workshops available for groups of between 20 to 30 individuals. They discuss, brainstorm, note down, participate in some drama, explore feelings, discuss again and then write!
Depending on the workshop, all participants would be encouraged to reflect on general feelings and emotions about MOVING ON, to perhaps, a new school or a new year group. They may possibly be asked to discuss POSITIVE CHOICES to enhance life experinces.The workshop would also work towards promoting a sense of confidence and empowerment regarding their own IDENTITY.
Her workshops and sessions are a time to explore and create. This will be done sometimes through role play, through drama and always through discussion to gather pertinent words and phrases to produce personal prose and poetry.
MISS LAKE - BACKGROUND
Miss Lake is an experienced primary teacher with a BA English (hons) degree and worked for many years in the Slough and Windsor Maidenhead schools from Foundation through to KS3. Whilst teaching, she wrote her poetry, started a writing project and ran 'New Beginnings' poetry workshops for senior pupils in KS3 and poetry workshops from nursery through KS1 and KS2.
She delivers her drama, role play, fun filled workshops in schools locally, across London, across the surrounding counties and out in Cape Town S Africa too. Sometimes though, a workshop with difference is requested and she sets up and delivers a lively discussion led, tailored poetry workshop.
Miss Lake has written a children's poetry book called 'Magical' and written a published young teens poetry book called 'Like a Phoenix Rising Out Of The Ashes'.
Based in the South East, around Windsor, Maidenhead, Slough and bordering areas, Reading, Bucks , Berks, Greater London, Watford, the surrounding areas and can travel further afield.
