About:

In the early days of ancient Egypt, Kings and important people, encircled their name (written in hieroglyphics) with a design that we now call a cartouche.

This cartouche was an oval circle and looked rather like a nameplate. Around the design was a picture of a rope, tied at one end protecting everything inside.

Our Egyptian Cartouche Painting Workshop is a unique way to study ancient Egypt and allows children the opportunity to paint and design their own Cartouche.

The workshop caters for between 50 and 200 children per day. Our artist sets up a mobile studio in your school and provides specialist child-friendly materials.

In addition to this we are also able to offer our Egyptian Dance Workshop or a combination of both Cartouche Painting and Egyptian Dance on the same day.
