About:

Victorian inventions workshops in the comfort of your own school.   In the most original Victorian workshop in the UK today, pupils learn about 4 key Victorian inventions that changed the world through matching, fun activities.

Pupils use a working electric telegraph set to send a morse code message to their friends; take pictures of each other in costumes using a genuine Victorian 1880 lens; power a working model of Stephenson's 'Rocket' steam train around a 25ft track and make their own music box songs in a living tribute to Thomas Edison and his amazing phonograph cylinder record player .

Added to this, our workshops are extremely economical when compared to out of school visits, with options for both KS1 and KS2 half or full days, for between 1 and 4 classes in a day.

Ages:

KS2 Age 7-11

Locations:

Cheshire, Cumbria, Derbyshire, East Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, North Yorkshire, Staffordshire, West Yorkshire
