About:

Our unique Create and Tell workshops start with a storytelling of one of our stories followed by a puppet making session with our multi-award winning Create and Show kits.

These workshops are a fantastic way to kick off a half term's topic. You'll also get one of our Creative Literacy Resources Packs which has 6 weeks of lessons plans. All activities link to the story with the learning outcomes, objectives and extension activities. Guaranteed to save you lots of preparation time and put a smile on your face.

For 3-6 year olds - the puppet making is age appropriate. It involves a variety of materials that the children can use to cut and stick or paint or colour the puppets. They are then mounted onto wooden spoons.

For 6-9 year olds - the puppet making involves using patterns to cut out fabric, they can be sewn or stuck together to form the puppet. Full instructions for each character are included.

We provide all the resources so all you need to do is provide the children!

The next part is very important because that's where the magic happens. The children interact with the story and become a part of it, so they learn so much more.

Or if you prefer, alternative creative activities, including computer aided design, can be substituted for the pupet making.

Raise school funds whilst raising literacy!

We can also help you raise funds for your school. For every book we sell at the workshop we'll give your school £1 to either spend on resources from our Learning Through Stories catalogue, staff training or you can take it off the cost of the workshop. For instance, if we sell 50 books you'll receive £50. We'll sign every books so the children also have something to treasure long after our visit.

Get a FREE parent workshop when you book a workshop.

Not all parents feel confident reading to their children or they may be short on time, so we'll help them to develop stories with their children through games that they can play anywhere. The parent workshops need to be run on the same day as the children's workshop. Great for building vocabulary, imagination and bonding with their children.

We can adapt workshops to suit your themes and tailor them to your requirements. Drop us a message and we'll get you sorted.
