About:

Your school will be visited by a soldier and a WAAC (Women's Army Auxiliary Corps) to help the children understand the reality of the First World War, at home and in the trenches, for men, women and children in an immersive and interactive workshop.

With a local history twist unique to every school visited, the workshop uses music, poems and art to discuss, develop and engage with the topic of the First World War for the whole school. The work done with the costumed educators is celebrated in an assembly at the end of the day, and pre and post workshop materials are provided.

KS1 Age 5-7, KS2 Age 7-11
